You can listen to them from the first to last and it tells the story within the music and lyrics AND you don't even have to have seen the show to follow along. I will admit that I have bought a lot more show tunes and albums since I became a fan of JB. Today, I bought the new cast album for 'La Cage Aux Folles' and thoroughly enjoyed it to bits. I can't wait to listen again. I now want to go see the show in NYC (since I didn't get to London last year to see when JB was in it). Along with TW and DW stuff on it, my video ipod is loaded with broadway/west end musical albums. My favorite cast album of all time is 'Chess.' I bought it on tape when I went on my senior English high school class trip to England back in the mid 80's and I wore it out. It took years to find it on cd but I did and it's still on regular rotation. My next favorite is from the '92 production of 'Guys and Dolls' with Peter Gallagher as Sky Masterson. What a great voice he has. J.K. Simmons was also in the cast and man he is everywhere these days, what a great versatile actor he is too. Well .... I must end my lovefest to show tunes due to have to get ready for bed before watching NCIS. See y'all later.
